What It Is

Uttarakhand has specific rules regulating purchase of certain lands by non-locals/outside persons and for non-agricultural use. Permission under relevant land laws (referenced as Section 154 in the state SOP for land purchase permission) is required for certain transactions; applications are processed through the state’s revenue machinery and Single Window SOP. The Invest Uttarakhand portal hosts the SOP for Land Purchase Permission (Sec-154).
